Thiruvananthapuram Taluk Educational Co-operative Society Ltd. No. T. 690 is an organization registered under the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act 1969. It is affiliated to the Department of Co-operation, Government of Kerala. The functions of the society is governed by an elected representatives of Board of Directors.
Thiruvananthapuram Taluk Educational Co-Operative Society Ltd., the first Co-operative venture in the field of higher education in the State of Kerala is the result of the long felt desire of a group of teachers to release themselves from the problems of unemployment prevailed all over India in 1970’s.
Thiruvananthapuram Taluk Educational Co-operative Society (TTECS Ltd. T. 690) is the pioneer in the co-operative educational sector which is registered in 1976 under the Co-operative Societies Act.

About the College
Co-operative Arts and Science College, the first venture of Thiruvananthapuram Taluk Educational Co-operative Society in the field of higher education has successfully completed 44 years of dedicated service to the aspiring pupils of the State of Kerala. During this period more than 50,000 graduates as well as postgraduates have come out of the college and many of them are occupying high positions in various fields. It imparts efficient and elegant coaching to the students of graduate and postgraduate for attending the private registration scheme as well as distance education programme of the University of Kerala.
Every year we provide admission for the eligible candidates from Degree level to Post Graduation level. Besides, we keep a proper administrative system under the control of the Department of Co-operation, Government of Kerala.
As part of diversification the society has joined hands with C-dit (Centre for Development of Imaging and Technology) a wing of Government of Kerala, since 2007 to conduct computer courses. Students belong to SC/ST and BPL category are eligible for 25% Fee Concession.
Society has got own land and spacious three storied RCC building. At present we have sufficient class rooms which can accommodate around 2,800 students in two shifts, well furnished computer lab, library, laboratory for science students and other facilities near Thampanoor, at the heart of Thiruvananthapuram city, very proximal to the central railway station and the bus station. The college provides sufficient parking facilities to the students and staff. The college has a team of well experienced faculty with brilliant academic career.
The society has got a spacious computer lab with sufficient number of computers, network facility,Wi-fi, projector ect., suitable to conduct classes for M.CA, B.CA, B.Com. with Computer Application, BSc Computer Science, PGDCA and C-dit programme.
The college can provide parking facility covering the parking area of 10,000 sq. ft with securityservice. The most outstanding merit is the location of the institution which is very close to the Central Railway Station and Central Bus Station, Thampanoor, Thiruvananthapuram.
In addition to curriculum, the college organizes activities related to Arts, Sports and other cultural activities to bring out the hidden talents in students. The college has participated in the cultural festival organized by the Department of Co-operation, Government of Kerala and secured many awards for several years in inter-college competitions.
Co-operative Arts and Science College, an undertaking of Thiruvananthapuram Taluk Educational Co-operative Society has instituted cash awards and certificate of merits for the final year Degree and PG students who secure the highest mark in the University Examination from this college.
Co-operative Arts & Science College, an undertaking of Thiruvananthapuram Taluk Educational Co-operative Society, is a socially committed educational organization only reasonable and affordable tuition fee from the students for all courses. The society allows fee concession to the financially backward class along with BPL students. The SC/ST and students from Fisherman community studying in our institution are also supported by the government by giving lumpsum grants.
Samunnathi and Snehapoorvam
We would like to extend our congratulation on the noble step taken by the District Collector and world vision authorities to give educational support to the students who discontinued their education after completing 10th standard on account of financial and other circumstantial difficulties. It is learnt that 26 students from Rajaji Nagar colony, Thiruvananthapuram have registered for plus two course under the examination conducted by National open school due to the efforts put in by the government and world vision authorities.
